Uganda 2011 Mission Trips

 

Isaiah 6:8

Missions Made Possible is forming a mission team to serve God’s people in Masindi, Uganda. The next mission meeting is scheduled for February 24th, 2011 - 6:30 to 8:00pm - Location = TBD - If you are interested in the meeting please email to Tim Beadell (tim.beadell@missionsmadepossilbe.org) to get the meeting location.

We will be going on a spiritual and humanitarian mission with our goal of bringing spiritual materials, medical supplies, clothing, toys, and books to village of Masindi, Uganda. Working through the Lutheran Church of Uganda we will provide Vacation Bible School.

Projects for Lutheran Church Mission Uganda, Kampala, Uganda, Africa:

·         1 set of Jeaus Movies (Jesus, The Story of Jesus for Children, Magdalene released from shame) - in English, Luganda, Kiswahili, Congo Kiswahili - given by the Jesus Film Project (David Briggs)

·         2 Laptops - (Past President and President)

 

Projects @ Kemenzu, Masindi, Uganda, Africa:

·         1 Well (Borehole)

·         1 Church/School (Community building)

·         Bibles

·         10 Chickens

·         50 Mattresses

·         100 + Blankets

·         100 + Mosquito Nets

·         25 + Benches

·         200 + Reading and Distance glasses (given by the Coon Rapids Lion's Club) 

·         Miscellaneous (clothes, shoes, tools, etc...)  

 

Projects @ Kigezi, Masindi, Uganda, Africa:

·         Funds for a school sign at the main road "Kigezi Lutheran School"

·         Miscellaneous (clothes, shoes, tools, etc...)  

 

Projects @ Masindi, Masindi, Uganda, Africa:

·         1250 + Reading and Distance glasses (given by the Coon Rapids Lion's Club) 

·         2 Laptops - (Women Rep. and Masindi Rep.)

·         788,000 Shs (Uganda shillings) raised durining a fesitval were we helped church

·        3 days of vacation bible school - Jungle Adventure by Concordia Publishing

·        1 Laptops - (School Director)

Feeding 80+ hungry children and adults.  We left 200+ meals behind for them to make. – Thanks FMSC.

Handing out the hygiene kits: each kit contains 5-6 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, bar of soap, and washcloths.  They also received a bag of FMSC food.
