All mission members have to have their $800 fees paid by June 1, 2009 to be considered part of the Uganda 2009 mission team. We won't take any other missions members after June 1, 2009.

We will be going on a spiritual and humanitarian mission with our goal of bringing spiritual materials, medical supplies, clothing, toys, and books to village of Masindi, Uganda. Working through the Lutheran Church of Uganda we will provide Vacation Bible School, special Christian and AIDS prevention classes, etc.

The church leaders identified projects that we can complete while we are there. Some of our time will be spent conducting Vacation Bible School (this is optional for mission members, but you are encouraged to participate) For mission members that don't want to conduct VBS, you will be asked to plan an activity while your there (i.e. arts & craft; sports game, etc) for the children that are not participating in VBS. We will need to bring whatever is needed for the activity.

We are raising money for the following projects:

Receiving donations: mattress, blanket, mosquito net, clothes, shoes, toys, hygiene items.	Receiving donations: bible, mosquito net, and hygiene items.

Handing out the chickens : each person getting a chicken, must return 2 chickens as pay back to the LCMU church. The church will give 1 chicken to another family and 1 will be sold to support the church.	Handing out the hygiene kits: each kit contains 5-6 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, bar of soap, washcloths, band aids, clothespins , etc.....
